Activities-in-Punta-Cana on day 2 starts the same as day one. I go to breakfast by myself because Kay doesn’t eat breakfast. I believe breakfast to be a very important meal.
I start, as I do each day, with a Bloody Mary that I make myself. All the ingredients are right there on the counter at the buffet restaurant.
I’ve decided to have a healthy breakfast today. The fruit in the Dominican Republic is great. Everything is fresh.
I’ll skip my morning brandy today because we are going on a shopping trip that will stop at a fine restaurant for lunch and we will have a bottle of wine with our lunch.
After a quick stop back at the room I continue my activities-in punta-cana. I’m off for my morning stroll on the beach. Yesterday I noticed some boats a few miles off the beach. They were to far off for me to see what they were doing. I think they were fishing boats, so I taking my binoculars with me.
I was correct about the boats. They are fishing. I stopped to watch for about 10 minutes. I was hoping to see someone catch something. No luck there! You can add deep sea fishing to your activities-in-punta-cana.
After the walk it’s back to the resort to walk around to watch things being set up for the day and take a few photos. By the way, always take your camera with you wherever you go. You will see many things that you will want to share with friends and family when you return from your Punta Cana vacation.
Our shopping trip bus leaves at 11:00 AM. Yes, you’re right; this is a trip that my wife chose. I don’t mind going shopping with her because I believe she is one of the best shoppers in the world. I enjoy watching her do her thing.
The bus ride is a little bumpy until we get out on the main roads. Enjoy the scenery while the bus travels some rural areas. I have never seen such skinny cows in my life as I’ve seen in the Dominican Republic.
Our first stop is a small town with a few shops. The girls like it. I talk to a few of the guys and we find a little café. The girls shop, we have a couple cold beers. I’m a very out-going person so I enjoy the chance to make new friends. Folks from all over the world come to Punta Cana. They enjoy all the activities-in-Punta-Cana.
Next stop is a fine family owned restaurant. The price of the food in included in the trip fee. However, you must pay for your drinks. If I remember correctly my wife and I shared a bottle of wine that only cost about $12. A little tip, be careful of the local food. Your system will not be used to it. I had a local dish with no problem. Kay would not try any.
A good sized shopping mall was our next stop. You guessed it, the girls went off and the guys found a little locally owned bar to visit. Add bar-hopping to your activities-in-Punta-Cana.
After about a 4 hour trip we are back at the resort for some relaxing and sun bathing on the Punta Cana beach. And some swimming in the ocean.
Kay wants to go to the pool and the swim up bar to have a cocktail or 2 before we get ready for dinner. Most of the bartenders speak English so we ask about their life in Punta Cana. They love their job and say they are paid fairly well.
Well, after our activities-in-Punta-Cana, its seafood tonight for dinner. The seafood in the Dominican Republic is mostly fresh. I’m a seafood lover Kay is not.
After a great dinner we are off to the lobby bar for some brandy and music. They have a piano player that is very good. They don’t mind if you dance in the lobby. Add lobby dancing to your activities-in-Punta-Cana.
We will take in the show at the theater tonight. They put on a pretty good show. They try to make it like the shows in Vegas, but they come up a little short. Most show are lacking when compared to the Vegas shows.
We stop by the room after the show to change into our sandals. The moon is almost full so we’re going to take a stroll on the beach. When we arrive on the beach we see that we are not the only ones with this idea.
That my friends is the end of day 2 of our Punta Cana all inclusive vacation.
