If you are looking for a luxury Hotel/Bed and Breakfast this is the place for you. The place is designed after the residence of the first Governor of the Americas.
The rooms have tall ceilings, canopied king size beds. The windows have shutters and stoned benches. There are smaller rooms in the annex with river views.
Beautiful trees shade the luxurious fresh water pool. The bar serves hors d’oeuvres when the music man does his thing. This is the place to meet new friends.
Pros: Fantastic breakfast buffet, this is one of the Historic parts of the Dominican Republic.
Cons: The lovely restaurant could have better service, If you’re looking for lively evening entertainment this is not the place for that.

You will see the bar on the left as you enter. In the rear there is a big courtyard filled with tables and umbrella’s. You will feel like you have found your oasis with the water flowing down the coral stone wall.

It’s a family run property. Their art collection is scattered throughout the House.
Dinner is served, only to the guest, in the open-air courtyard. The experience will stay with you forever.
The rooms are luxuriously furnished. They have spared no expense. Even the stationary will impress you.
This is not a full fledged resort; however I recommend it to any that can afford $600. a night. If you’re into super luxury travel this place will not disappoint you.
Pros: Quiet and peaceful, off the beaten path, luxurious, the service is second to none.
The only thing that comes close to being a Con is the cost. And for what you get, it’s a steal.

There is a French pair that runs this small resort. You will absolutely love the gardens throughout the grounds and the thatched roofed bungalows are great. A fresh water pool runs through the grounds,
Your serenity will be assured. This place is in the middle of nowhere. At night the only music you will here is the waves rolling in and out on that private beach.
All the bungalows have a furnished private terrace. Sit, relax enjoy the view, the peace and the quiet. The bungalows are furnished with ceiling fan but no air conditioning.

This very quiet and beautiful resort has only one draw-back that I’m aware of, they don’t accept credit cards. However, if you’re looking for peace and relaxation the inconvenience is worth it.

Snorkeling equipment kayaks and bicycles are all included in the price. The outer islands are available for a picnic you can kayak out to one if you like. You will absolutely love the full breakfast.
You can take a tour of all the area’s secluded beaches and be dropped off at one of your choice for as long as you like. There is a cost for this tour.
