I’m in the process of collaborating with Beatriz Gonzalez a real estate agent on the Island. We plan to meet in January, 2010. I have a Bio for Beatriz. You can read her Bio by clicking the link below
My wife and I haven’t made up our mind whether to build, buy an existing house or buy a condo. I’m leaning toward a condo myself. I don’t like the responsibility of taking care of the grounds.
If you are looking for a luxurious and affordable second home you just can’t beat the Dominican Republic. If you are looking to build a breach front home or buy an existing beach front home I don’t think you can beat the Punta Cana, Bavaro of the Uvero Alto area.
The Dominican Republic has about 9 Million people living there now. The capitol city of Santo Domingo has about 2 million people.
The official language is Spanish, however, they are teaching English in the schools. It would surprise me if they didn’t make taking English mandatory in the near future.
The population is mostly Catholic.
Punta Cana Real Estate is the most popular. It is fast becoming the best resort area in the Caribbean. In my humble opinion it is now the best place for an All Inclusive vacation.
Here’s an idea, you can rent a small apartment for about 5 or 6 hundred dollars per month. Or if you prefer being near the beach, rent something for about 1 thousand per month. We invite you to come spend some time with us. You will learn to love this special Island.
