Kay On The Beautiful Grounds Of Dreams Punta Cana
Day 5 of Our All Inclusive Vacation

The Entrance To The Ocean Blue Resort
The Dominican-Republic-Resorts offer you so many amenities that you really do not have to leave the resort to enjoy your Punta Cana all inclusive vacation.
We have decided today to spend the entire time at the resort.
I’m awake just before sun-up. We are on the eastern side of the Island so we are able to enjoy seeing the sun come up over the ocean. If you have never seen it, this is something you must experience.
After enjoying the sunrise and thanking God for this new day he has given me I’m off to the buffet restaurant for my morning routine.
First stop is the Bloody Mary station. It’s nice to be able to make your own. You can have it exactly the way you like it.
Now it’s off to the omelet station. A little tip before I continue. We all know that buffet food is not always as hot as we would like. I like potatoes with my eggs in the morning.
Here’s what I do. I go get my potatoes and then go to the omelet station to choose what I want in my omelet. When I give the chef my choices of what I want in my omelet I ask him to just add the potatoes.
After a great breakfast I’m off to a small reception area where they have fresh coffee and brandy waiting. What a great way to start a perfect day. I just love these Dominican-Republic-Resorts.
Back at the room Kay is having her coffee, (she isn’t a breakfast eater). When she is ready we are off to our morning walk on the Punta Cana beaches.

Ron On The Atlantic Side Of The Island
If you walk far enough you are bound to find another resort. That’s exactly what we do. When we find another resort we go in to walk the grounds. If we have an opportunity we also talk to some of the people that are staying there. We may want to try that resort next time we visit Punta Cana.
Now it’s time to do some sunbathing. I do 30 minutes on each side. Kay lays there for a long time. I like the morning sun better than the afternoon sun because it’s cooler.

I’m off to people watch and to meet new folks. Dominican-Republic-Resorts are a great place to meet people from all over the globe. This is day number 5 so I have meet most of the staff and many other vacationers.
People from all over the globe come to Punta Cana, Dominican-Republic-Resorts. The number of folks from Europe is amazing. They come because it is not expensive. And they just love the Punta Cana beaches.
We met a couple from Sweden when we went on our shopping trip. He spoke very good English but she didn’t speak any. We found a little restaurant and had a couple beers with them.
I walked by the Spa and decided to get a massage today. Kay will be on the beach for another hour at least. They are just opening so I don’t have to wait. If you are going to the Spa later in the day it is best to make a reservation. By the way, the Dominican-Republic-Resorts have great spas.
By the time I’m finished with the massage it’s near to lunch time. Today they are having a grill out on the beach. I go get Kay and head for the beach bar.
Today they’re grilling a Dominican dish with seafood. Of course they will also have burgers and hotdogs. Whenever I get a chance to have seafood in Punta Cana I have it because it’s always so fresh.
The staff always makes a big production when grilling on the beach. They try to get the guest involved. They also have a couple big barrels with iced down beer and soft drinks. This happens at most of the Dominican-Republic-Resorts.
After lunch it’s more sunbathing and watching the young people play volleyball. After a dip in the ocean Kay and I make our way to the pool. Water aerobics is about to start. This is something we can do.
Kay wants to walk the grounds now. Today they have 3 fruits stands with all kind of fresh fruit. We stop at each one and get something different at each.
As we walk by the theater we notice they are rehearsing for the big show tonight. They are planning a musical review for this evening. We plan to attend.
We head back to the room now to sit on the patio and relax before getting dressed for dinner. I’ve talked Kay into seafood for tonight.
Most Dominican-Republic-Resorts have great seafood because it’s so fresh. They tell me that there is a place in town that will cook the fish that you catch. Just go fishing and bring your catch to the restaurant and they will cook it for you for a small fee.
We have reservation for 7:30 tonight so we get there about 7:00. They have a little bar just outside of the restaurant and we like the bartender. She is very entertaining and speaks very good English.
At dinner Kay has the shrimp scampi. I order the sea bass. It is not from the local region; however, they tell me it has never been frozen. It’s brought up from Chile. I like it better than lobster.
Dinner was fantastic as usual. We stop at the bar to have a little brandy before going to the theater.
The show was spectacular. Now we are off to do some dancing. We met a couple from New Jersey that dances like we do.
It’s about 10:30 PM and the joint is really jumping. Some of the locals are doing their dances. We sit and watch for a while. We have been in here a few times since we’ve been at the resort.
When the manager sees us and of course other people our age she comes over to ask if we want to dance. Of course we all said yes. So she tells the guy taking care of the music to play some old tunes for us older folks.
Wow, what a great evening that was. We invite the group to join us on our late night beach walk. The Dominican-Republic-Resorts are great.
We meet at the beach. It’s a beautiful night. As we are walking everyone takes a turn talking about themselves and where they’re from and what they do. Or I guess I should say what we used to do, because most of us are retired.
Well, that’s day 5 of our Punta Cana All Inclusive vacation. I hope you enjoyed reading about it. We sure enjoyed living it. See you on day 6.
