Ocean-Blue-Punta-Cana is another of the large resorts in the Punta Cana All-Inclusive Style. Not to worry though, like many of the large resorts-in-Punta-Cana, they have a free trolley that travels the grounds.

All rooms have a balcony or terrace; the rooms could use a little more lighting. The extra cost of the premium suites are certainly worth it. The premium suites offer oversized marble bathrooms, Jacuzzi tubs, room service and a VIP lounge.

There are 2 pools, one for activities (with a swim up bar) and the other pool for relaxation.

Food at the main buffet is the best at the resort. The other restaurants are OK. (If upscale dining is important for you, this is not the resort for that). The wines are very pleasant, served from the bottle and not a box.

Mike’s coffee shop serves up made to order frapppucinos and other hot and cold java drinks and herbal teas. The pastry is to die for and the cheese cake is out of this world.

You may have to wait a while for the shuttle to take you to the Golf Course, but resort guest pay a special reduced price. And on the resort grounds there is a bowling alley and a limited casino. The Punta Cana beaches are long and this one is one of the longest.

Service is prompt and friendly, however, (and I haven’t been there in 2 years) there is a language problem. Not many of the service people speak very good English. That may have gotten better.

Pros: Free trolley every 10 to 15 minutes, Mike’s coffee shop, bowling alley.

Cons: Limited internet access, the rooms are drab and very poorly lighted. The food for the 4 different theme restaurants is cooked in the same kitchen.
