Beautiful Birds At Ocean Blue Resort in Punta CanaDay OnePunta-Cana all inclusive vacations are our favorite.This is a review of how I spend a day at an all inclusive Punta Cana resort. First I must tell you that a Punta Cana all inclusive resort is my favorite retreat when I visit any of the Dominican Republic all inclusive resorts. I’m an early riser so about 7:00 AM I’m walking into the buffet restaurant to have my breakfast. Every Punta Cana resort I’ve been to has the makings for a Bloody Mary at the breakfast buffet. I’m on vacation so that’s how I start my day, with a fine Bloody Mary and a cup of hot tea. After that it’s off to the omelet station. They have everything you can think of to put in an omelet. All you have to do is put everything you want in your omelet on your plate and hand it to the chef. You can order an omelet or just have the chef fry you some eggs. A little tip here; Food on a buffet is at best warm, not hot. I love potatoes with my eggs in the morning so I get potatoes and take them to the omelet station so they’re hot along with my eggs. Now that breakfast is over I’m ready to relax with a cup of coffee with a shot of brandy. As I said I’m on vacation and it’s all inclusive. About 9:00 AM it’s back to the room to prepare for the remainder of the morning.
This Is The Catamaran We Sailed OnApple Vacations - Best Buys!I love the beach in Punta-Cana in the morning. With swim suit, sandals a towel and of course sun screen I’m off to walk the beach for about half an hour. After my walk it’s into the ocean I go. When it gets to be about 10:00 AM I’m ready to sunbath for 40 minutes, 20 on the front and 20 on the back. Now things are starting to happen all around the resort. The pool people are getting the pool ready for the day, the bartenders are opening the bars and the snack shops and other shops are opening. I like to walk around and watch as everything gets ready for the day. I always enjoy watching other folks work. I find my wife and let her know that I’m going to the spa for a massage before lunch. We decide to have lunch at the seafood restaurant today. Most of the fish the is served here was caught in Punta-Cana. I’ve never had a bad massage at any of the spas in Punta Cana. After the massage I jump into the sauna and then into a cool shower. After lunch with my lovely wife we go to the beach to go on a catamaran trip for about 3 hours. The boat comes to the resort beach to pick you up. The 3 hour trip is filled with music, dancing, having a rum drink or two and also some discovery of the island. There is also a stop at a small island for some swimming and more sunbathing if you wish. On some catamaran trips to the small islands they will serve you lunch.
A Speed Boat We Seen From The CatamaranAfter our catamaran trip it’s time for another dip in the ocean before getting ready for dinner. We have decided on dinner at the Italian restaurant this evening. After dinner we go to the lobby lounge for a Brandy and a nice Cuban cigar. The casino is close by so we do some gambling until the clubs open for dancing. By the way, the casino’s at most of the resorts are small and don’t have all the tables that a full service casino's have. However, most of the resorts have a shuttle that will take you into Punta-Cana to a full service casino if that is your wish. Our first stop after the casino is the disco to watch the young people do their thing. After we tire of that we are off to a club that we can request the type of music we want to dance to. Kay and I belong to a couple dance clubs at home. We do the jitterbug; some people call it the Shag. I guess what we do is a combination of both. This is also where we meet new friends. Kay and I love to meet new people so we greet everyone. Punta-Cana is a very friendly area. When we are out walking and someone is coming the other way we always look them in the eye and say good morning or whatever the proper greeting would be. After the dancing it’s time for our time alone. We go back to the room to change out of our evening clothes. We are going to take a walk on the beach together and reflect on the day and plan for day 2 at our Punta Cana all inclusive resort. You will need to go to another page to see day 2.
