Santo-Domingo-Church

Mass was just letting out when we visited this beautiful little Church
A Santo-Domingo-Church. After our tour of the museum where they say Crhistopher Columbus lived we walked a short distance to this beautiful little Church in Santo Domingo.
The time was about 10:00 AM so the morning masses were over.
I have no idea why but our guide asks us to not take any photos of the interior of the Church. I’ll try to give you a short description of the inside.
I would guess you could give about 100 people in there. It was a very colorful Church. The dominate color being blue as you can see if the stained class windows in the photo above.
As you know, if you are familiar with the Catholic Church, all the Catholic Churches have the Stations of the Cross on the walls. They are usually large plaques hanging on the wall around the seating area. This Church had little nooks that a few people could stand inside of.
Didn’t have the opportunity to meet any of the Priests, which was disappointing to a few of us on the tour.
We didn’t spend much time in the Church. We had a fairly rowdy group and we all had to whisper while we were in the Church because there were folks in there praying. So we said a little prayer and were out of there in about 10 minutes.
