How would you like this to be your back yard?You will not have a table of your own at this fine restaurant. You will be sitting at a long table with other quest. You may even have the opportunity to meet people from other countries. The food is not expensive at all. For about $10 you could get a fine meal. The house specialty is skirt steak (churrasco), or you could try the grilled barbecued ribs with fries. And let’s not forget to have a shooter or two of that famous drink, mamajuana. The owner is German so on the weekend the special is German rotisserie chicken. You will want to douse yourself with some insect repellent because you will be eating outside. Castle ClubEating in Doug Beers home is truly a unique experience. Marguerite, Doug’s wife is your hostess. She will take you for a tour of their art collection along with the rest of their home. This is one of the great experiences you will find on The-North-Coast of the Dominican Republic. You can sit down and enjoy a 4 or 5 course meal. After you have enjoyed a dinner of canapés, soup, salad, lobster, rice, soufflé and a coffee with brandy, Doug will light a fire in the great room. Servers will help you with putting the correct things together. You can dine on the up-graded beach or enjoy the king sized sun-bed inside. They do not serve lunch. The seafood is always fresh at these fine restaurants.They will also serve you a fine fillet mignon that you can almost cut with your fork. If you go for the seafood make sure you start with the octopus in mint vinaigrette. The wine list is upscale French, Spanish and Chilean. The service in very attentive.
