Make The Most Of Your Next Vacation

Here are some tricks and tips to help you make the most of your next traveling vacation.

Don’t Buy Into The Memberships

I hear of travel agents that charge membership fees for their services. They form an organization; say that it is capable of getting unusual (but unspecified) discounts and other benefits.

They charge a membership fee of $1000. to $3000 to join their club. Then book you on flights and into resorts for what they claim are great prices.

And, of course, their prices are not any better than what any internet provider can obtain for you.

As soon as you hear of an agency wanting you to join their club, run, don’t walk away.

Go Smoothly Through Airport Security

It’s bad enough that you have to go through all the hassle of airport security. The less hassle the better.

I’m told the must common thing to be stopped for is shaving cream. It happened to me once. I’ve come up with a plan to keep it from happening again.

The best thing I found is a travel kit. No hassle, just throw it into your carry-on bag and forget it. When we return home I don’t even unpack it. I just keep it with my suitcase for my next trip.

Buy Park Tickets Online Before You Leave

Travelers going to Orlando, Florida should always book their theme-park tickets online before they leave home.

Like many local amusement parks, that entice people to visit with a variety of promotions, the great Orlando parks have steady deals also. They reserve these deals for Web reservations.

Only a chump pays the box-office price for these tickets! We have done the math. It is actually cheaper to rent a car while on vacation than to pay to go here and there. The convenience is also a plus. You can go on your schedule instead of someone else’s.

We do go on day trips (tours) when we are on vacation. Some of the day trips involve a long bus ride. We booked a tour online before we left home. It was about an hour and a half bus ride.

We followed the bus to our destination, keeping an eye on places we would like to stop on the way back. Of course we paid close attention to the road signs also.

On our way back we stopped at all the places we saw on the way. We also stopped at a couple of hotels for a cocktail and some great conversation with some local folks.

It was the highlight of our trip!!!
