The Dash Gift Book
This Book, with it's Inspirational-Message is an absolute CLASSIC. A gift that will keep on giving!
Linda Ellis wrote her classic poem in one afternoon. It has changed her life as it will change yours.
This book will give the reader a better idea of why we were put on the earth.
‘The Dash’ has been published many times in magazines, books, newspapers and in company newsletters.
What a great Inspirational-Message for friends, family, customers, co-workers.
Linda is constantly asked, “Where can I get a copy of this Life Changing Poem?”
Well, we are very proud to answer that question.
We at Simple Truths are presenting this great poem in a beautifully designed Gift Book, along with 9 Inspirational chapters from Mac Anderson about what we can do to make a difference with our lives.
And let’s not forget
‘The Dash' Rainbow Desktop Print
This beautiful 10 x 8 black wood frame can stand-up on your desk or hang on your wall.
I read of a man who stood to speak at a funeral of
A friend. He referred to the dates on her tombstone
From the beginning to the end.
He noted that first came the date of her birth
And spoke the following date with tears,
But he said what matters most of all
Was the dash between those years.
For that dash represents all the time
That she spent alive on earth.
And now only those who loved her
Know what that little line is worth.
For it matters not how much we own;
The car, the house, the cash,
What matters is how we live and love
And how we spend our dash.
So think about this long and hard.
Are there things you would like to change?
For you never know how much time is left,
That can still be arranged.
If we could just slow down enough
To consider what’s true and real
And always try to understand
The way other people feel.
And be less quick to anger,
And show appreciation more,
And love the people in our lives
Like we never loved before.
If we treat each other with respect,
And more often wear a smile
Remembering that this special dash
Might only last a little while.
So, when your eulogy is being read
With your life’s action to rehash,
Would you be proud of the things they say
About how you spent your dash?

Truly Life-Changing I have always believed that life is a journey and like all journeys it is where you go; it is how you get there that is the greater part.
Life is like that. So many people rush and rush, running head long to the destination that they forget to slowdown and enjoy the journey.
It is refreshing to see someone else sees that as well. I don't about others.
But I for one am not about to rush to the destination that all of us are bound to, but am going to enjoy my journey, and at journeys end I will stand before god and say "Well lord the first trip was fun, what's next?"
God Bless, and God Speed.

This is one of my favorite poems! Reminds me that the most powerful moment between the past and the future is NOW.
After all, "Today is a gift from God ---- that's why we call it the present."
May each of us begin NOW to love others the way we want to be loved, forgive others the way we wish to be forgiven, and speak the encouraging words of praise and appreciation that we so long to hear.
What better gifts can we give on this special day of Easter celebration?

I hope and pray that my "dash" going forward, is far, far better than the "dash" I've left behind.
If I've offended you I'm sorry, if I didn’t say I love you enough, please know here and now that I love you very much, to my children, my family, my friends and even those that consider me their enemy I wish for you the love of Christ.
God Bless You!
Donna Mobley-Thomas • Community College of Philadelphia I truly second your comment.
I just had serious brain surgery last week and I often sit very still and the thought comes to me that OMG I'm alive.
I had no idea I was as sick as I was, I just dealt with headaches all day every day.
It was with me for soooooo long that I got use to the pain.
So I say to everyone please take care of your health because no one knows your body like you do and there is no reason to live with pain.
I do know that I've become a different person since this experience and I plan to make the most of it.
SO WATCH OUT WORLD HERE I COME AND I'VE GOT A NEW ATTITUDE!!!!!
George Woods • Newport News High School
As a pastor, I'm reminded of this truth every time I do a funeral.
It's so sad for me when I must witness those who have no hope. Each day in every way we are making memories.
Make your dash count; you only get this one chance!

God grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to know the difference so that my Dash is filled with Your Grace.
Patricia Laberdie This is one of my most precious and used prayers!
The rest of the Serenity Prayer... "Living One Day at a Time; Enjoying One Moment at a Time; Accepting hardship as the pathway to peace.
Taking, as He did, this sinful world as it is. Not as I would have it;
Trusting that He will make all things right, If I surrender to His will;
That I may be reasonably happy in this life, And supremely happy with Him forever in the next. Amen." Author: ~ Reinhold Niebuhr ♥
My dash- May this be a life of love, compassion and forgiveness.
May it always be a life of Christ and his teachings, his ways and his direction.
May I always follow the path that God has given me. May I rejoice in hope, may I be patient in pain and persevere in prayer.

Do you ever think about your dash?
Susan Leigh • Top Commenter
I must always remember that life is to short and that I must enjoy every moment because I can never get that moment back.
I must learn to let things happen not try to make them happen all the time.
I must have patience and understanding - the more I post positive messages and share with others the more I become a positive person.
I love the music on all the movies I have been posting.
